New UK alcohol duty rates came into effect on 1 February 2026. To ensure clients could continue trading without disruption, Fero (formely Ferovinum) automatically updated duty rates across the platform, meaning no action was required to remain aligned with the latest government changes.
Duty rates updated automatically
The new duty rates were applied automatically within the Fero platform starting on 1 February 2026. This ensures calculations remain accurate and reflected the latest UK alcohol duty requirements without requiring any manual updates from clients. Clients did not need to make any changes within the platform as a result of the duty update. By applying the new rates automatically, Fero helped remove the administrative burden often associated with regulatory changes and ensured clients could continue operating as normal.
Updating customer prices
While duty rates were updated automatically, some clients chose to review and adjust their customer-facing prices following the changes. To support this process, clients can use the Bulk Pricing feature to update sale prices across multiple products and for each of their individual customers they sell on to more efficiently, reducing the need for individual price updates.
