Spirits are high as Fero team readies for ProWein 2026

Düsseldorf, Germany - Off the back of a successful Wine Paris, the Fero team (formerly Ferovinum) prepares to head to Düsseldorf for ProWein 2026 next week. With over 6,000 exhibitors in total, there is still a lot of ground to cover despite the show being smaller than previous years. For the first time this year, the Fero team will be exhibiting in an expanded ProSpirits hall at ProWein. With the addition of clients like Still Austin Whiskey Co. and Cobblestone Brands now joining the ranks of Fero as clients, it seemed the right time to move to the ProSpirits halls within the show.

Times are changing

ProWein 2026 arrives at an interesting time for the industry. Post Wine Paris the question of ProWein vs Wine Paris has come up several times. Understandably so – as trade fairs have faced mounting scrutiny in recent years. Budgets are tighter, travel is more selective and alternatives like Wine Paris are offering something easier and regional events are continuing to reshape the global drinks calendar.

Despite that, the spirits area of ProWein has continued to expand. Now covering two halls, over 500 spirits exhibitors from 50 countries and a larger spirits area, alongside a dedicated education programme, despite a smaller global footprint for wine, the ProSpirit halls continues to grow.

Mitch Fowler, chief executive of Fero said: “Wine Paris was a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with a lot of new faces, particularly across the wine category, but we’re not resting on our laurels.”

Further he added: “At Fero we work across the global drinks industry, and wine isn’t the only category we serve. Being part of the ProSpirits Hall at ProWein allows us to continue those conversations about how we can help make drinks companies more efficient, while engaging with producers and partners from across the wider drinks sector. Ultimately, we follow where our clients want to be and many were excited to be here, so it felt like a great opportunity to collaborate with them.”

Team spirits

This year Fero is hosting six client partners on the stand in the ProSpirits Hall in Düsseldorf.

Fero can be found in Hall 5 E18.

Fero are hosting a number of their clients on their stand throughout the show:

Sunday 15th March 9.00 - 13.00: Gleann Mòr Spirits

Sunday 15th March 13.30 - 17.30: Hattingley Valley Wine Estates

Monday 16th March 9.00 - 13.00: Morningside Brands

Monday 16th March 13.30 - 17.30: Cobblestones Brands

Tuesday 17th March 9.00 - 13.00: Whitebox Cocktails

Tuesday 18th March 13.30 - 17.30: Neurita Tequila

Gregor Mathieson, director of spirits at Fero, pointed out the benefit of working alongside Fero’s clients and the opportunity that it provides.

“The Spirits Hall at ProWein offers a really exciting opportunity for us to engage with clients of all sizes and what is still an incredibly innovative part of the drinks industry. Many spirits producers face similar growth and cash flow challenges to wine businesses, so being here allows us to connect with established brands and distillers, where they are. It’s also a great chance to work alongside our clients in a way that benefits both their businesses and ours,” explained Mathieson.

While the new location in the ProSpirits Hall is an exciting change, Fero will still be there meeting with new wine clients as well. Barry Dick MW, head of wine UK and Regina Sanz, head of wine US, will also be engaging with new clients looking to better understand the Fero platform and how it can help drive efficiencies through different parts of their businesses.

“ProWein remains an important moment in the global wine calendar, particularly for connecting with producers and partners from across international markets. For us at Fero, it’s a valuable opportunity to spend time with both existing clients and new producers who are looking for smarter ways to make their businesses more efficient from an operational and working capital perspective. The conversations had at shows like Wine Paris and ProWein really demonstrate how dynamic the wine industry continues to be,” said Sanz.

While the debate about whether ProWein or Wine Paris will win out as the top trade fair rages on, the Fero team is heading to ProWein 2026 excited to be attending and hosting in the ProSpirits area of the show.
